Step 1 - Move the mirror to water source in a garden cart.  Note blue air compressor.

Step 2 - Remove the newspaper used as cover

Step 3 - get it wet

Step 5 - use cotton (not polyester) balls to remove stubborn spots

Step 6 - alcohol  (has very low surface tension) to dilute in preparation for removing the water

Step 7 -  use air pressure to blow off liquids

Step 8 - more air

Step 9 - cotton balls to wipe, one stroke per piece of cotton, never more

Step 10 - continue wiping until all liquids gone


Yes, this method works.
The results aren't perfect but do make a huge improvement.
